I've been meaning to post for a few days now (as my work on the Silent Film Wiki can attest) but I'm now on what I'm certain is Day 2 of a 3 day hangover. That's what you get for drinking pink champagne and watching "A King in New York" on New Years Eve. AHHH. Well...before my head explodes lets hit the news.*The Silent Film Wiki has been updated with the new TV and Film schedules as has the right hand column. TCM has some kick ass programming this month (I especially encourage you to catch "A King in New York" on the 5th) so check that out! Sadly the Silent Movie Theatre has some boring avant garde junk going on...but they'll make up for it in February (and may I hope we may have a Pickford month again this year? I will be ever so happy!)
*Speaking of the Silent Film Wiki you're all going to get a lecture about it later but seriously...if anyone would help edit or add articles it would be ever so lovely. A one woman wiki is a very hard thing indeed!
*Anthony has purchased http://johnbunny.com/ which is now a work in progress. The Silent Stars Sites has been updated to reflect this. When there's more news it shall be reported. Also of note he's intending to put up a very lovely Silent Film autographs article. I'll post when that's up.
*Speaking of websites I can now officially say when my head clears the Griffith Site will be back on track! I began working on it in December and despite my own web ineptness I think it looks rather nice. However I intend to have an extremely comprehensive filmography...meaning honestly it probably wont be up till May (and that's if I do 5 films a day!)
*Karl Dane's biographer Laura has created a Facebook page in Karl's honor. Click here (or search facebook: Karl Dane Appreciation Group). Facebook is home to many a Silent star page including our Anna May Wong and D.W. Griffith pages (which are updated as needed). Join em all and post and such!
*There is lots of news coming up including some exhibits, releases, and reviews. Look for that after Day 3 I guess...ahhh.
