So as I mentioned in the Schedules update the Silent Movie Theatre would be running a Harold Lloyd month for November. I hate to say it but I'm a little annoyed at them as they have yet to STILL update their website...which is inconvenient because in addition to Harold they are also doing another round of Ozu films! Why they thought a week into November they could get away with this I don't know but I was pretty upset to learn I'd missed a DOUBLE FEATURE of "Late Spring" and "Late Autumn". Shame on you Silent Movie Theatre.
For those not in the know Yasujiro Ozu was basically the D.W. Griffith of his day...only he went on to have a long career in talkies as well. Ozu's films were brilliant, and are considered classics in Japan.
Since I don't have the physical flyer in front of me I am unfortunately unable to say if any of his Silents are screening this time, but if you'd like to catch some Ozu know his films will run every Friday in November at 7:30pm.
As for Harold, "Safety Last" played on Wednesday and it was magnificent. I'd recommend catching any of his films if you can!
