Vilma Banky update: A Surprise Talkie Release!

Though not epic-ly complicated as Theda's, Vilma has a large chunk of her Filmography lost and unreleased as well. She made a few talkies, and most of them do still exist, yet none have been released on DVD (or VHS for that matter!)

UCLA has several copies of various parts of the English version of "A Lady to Love", her second to last film (or third/fourth if we count German versions). I requested (or begged to put it mildly) to view this film but they told me the viewable prints are just the sound...not the picture (if that makes sense). Mark Quigley very kindly pointed me to a site called ioffer.com...which apparently offered an unofficial copy of the English version of the film.

Trust me no matter how hard you google its damn near impossible to find something like this on your own unless you click every link ever. So a MAJOR thanks to him!

I ordered a copy, its on its way (expect a review shortly)! If you'd like your own copy click here.
