Back!

My apologies about the lack of updates! Long story short some crazy things went down, ended up in the rural midwest for 2 weeks (it sucked) and now I'm finally back in Hollywood. I caught my first silent back tonight and I must say it felt right. This is the place to be!

That being said I hate these little note posts but I wanted to say thank you to everyone who reads this blog! I've done up projects before (usually musical related) and would rant and rave and type and sleuth...and no one would care. Never got any hits or anything. When I started this blog it was mainly as a rebuttal to Wikipedia and their deletion happy state. Of course the moment the Silent Film Wiki took hold that was no longer relevant and I found it still fun to blog about the Silents...things people my age usually don't want to hear.

With what one could call 0 promotion; this blog has taken on a life of its own! Word of mouth has helped, and a lot of people have told me they greatly enjoy the information on here. Since I had no goal to begin with I'm glad to have found one that was needed: piecing together the whole story...since no one has done that yet (think our Silents Talk series!) And much to my surprise while I put nothing new up Forget the Talkies was getting about 100 hits a day! We've well passed the 1000 unique hits a month thing....which given the subject matter and crappy promotion is just MIND BLOWING. I don't know who all is out there reading; but seriously THANK YOU!

Silents aren't only sexier they're better! And I know with this fancy internets we can finally set the record straight; and show everyone just exactly what they've been missing for the past almost 80 years. So let's do it!
