So if you haven't noticed in addition to our Silent Films Wiki we have another cool feature which I really should publicize. Every month I gather the Silent Film Theatre Screenings and every 3 months I gather the Silent Film Television Screenings (as that's how TCM does their schedule).
Every Silent is included, and I do my best to include the talkies with Silent Stars as well. You can see the selected screenings (both theatre and television) on the right hand side of this page, and for a full schedule you can see it at the Silent Films Wiki 2008 Schedule (along with all the previously screened films).
Now I can only list what I am in the know about. That means most Los Angeles and California area screenings, as well as TCM. If you know of any other screenings please feel free to send in some tips to us at misspickford@forgetthetalkies.com .
In addition to the screenings I try to include DVD releases or book releases. That is even HARDER to do. So if you know of or have a Silent related DVD/Documentary/Book release please send the info again to us, same email.
That being said it is really awesome to see the sheer number of Silent screenings both in Los Angeles and Nationwide on TV. People always complain its hard to see Silents or costly (expensive DVDs) but seriously...TCM does some good work. Make sure you tune in!
