
Talk about random! I was at the Barnes and Noble the other day and much to my surprise spotted Mary Pickford on the cover of some random magazine. I wish I had the original photo, but I cant find it. I believe its one of her bios though.
The use of the picture was indeed random. Its for some (apparently right wingish) American Politics magazine and an article on feminism. Mary really wasn't much into (or against) feminism. She declared her support for women's voting rights (thus the photo) but beyond that I don't recall her doing anything major for it. The article contains no mention of her, and basically ends around 1908ish thus making the use of the pic even more weird.
BUUUUT that aside it is pretty cool to see Mary on a modern cover. You probably have another month to grab it as its the July/August 08 issue of American Spectator. My apologies on the scan, I think being glossy is what caused the funky marks!
